Crocheter's Hand Rub
I know that this doesn't have to do with crocheting itself, but it is an easy hand rub to help soothe aching crocheter hands. I call it
Cinnamary Orange Delight!
It is a cinnamon, rosemary, and dried orange crumb infused water and oil. It soothes and softens your skin. I guess you could you could use it when you have a headache and rub it on your temples.
What you'll need:
- 2 cups of warm water
- 1 1/2 tbs of low scented oil (I used olive oil)
- 3 tsp of cinnamon powder
- One cinnamon stick
- 2 tsp Dried orange crumbs
- 3 pinches of Rosemary leaves
- Small pot
- Sifter
- Wooden pot stirrer
- Boye jar
1- Heat up 2 cups of warm water so it is hot to touch, but not boiling.
2- Add cinnamon powder, stir with wooden pot stirrer until the cinnamon powder is mostly disintegrated.
3- Add orange crumbs and rosemary leaves.
4- Turn off heat. Move to cool part of stove. Stir for 5 minutes.
5- Add oil. Stir until oil is distributed in water evenly.
6- Sift the liquid into the boye jar. There should not be any more spices in the jar.
7- Add cinnamon stick into liquid.
8- Close jar. Cool in fridge overnight.
9- Add a tag on it and name it.
Rub this into your hands to soothe those aching crochet hands! Have fun, and happy cooking!
