Handcrafted With Love

So the new blog is now, as of five minutes ago, going to be called 'Handcrafted With <3'. It's a very cheesy title, I know, but it is adorable!!! The logo is:

"Who needs family, friends, or a boyfriend when you have a crochet hook and yarn?"

Everything I craft is with love and adoration, I just love to crochet!!!!!

Bye guys, and I will update when the new blog is completed and ready to check out! Also, I am going to make a Facebook page, an Etsy page, and a Ravelry page. If any of you guys know how to link these sites to the new blog, please email me and tell me!!!! I also would like to know how to put little buttons at the top of the page where you can explore the site. I'll figure it out eventually. In the meantime,

bai bai!!

Sad/Happy News. D: :D

Saddy Happy News!!!!

So I know I have a very small audience right now, and that's okay. But I just want to tell you all that have checked my blog at least once or twice that I might make a new blog which I will name 'Deja Vu Crochet' or something cool like that.

KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR AN UPDATE IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE NEW BLOG!!!!!!

I promise I will keep this blog up for anyone who wants to see the several (sarcasm) posts I have. Just kidding. But the new one I will update as often as I can! School's starting up soon so I might be a little off because I have so Many After-School Activities!!! Ahh so overwhelming!!!!!

I'm also busy writing a book so when I finally finish it (lol) I will definitely update about that on this blog and the new blog, so you won't miss a thang!

Bye, and happy school year (as happy as you can be..... lol)

Cloudettes

Cloudettes

These dolls will charm your heart, while bestowing you happy dreams.

So this is a pattern I came up with while watching TV and doing granny squares. It is ADORABLE!! I am so happy with the outcome, and I just did random stitches. Luckily, I remember EVERYTHING  I did. So good luck, and happy hooking!!!!

So here goes the pattern:

Use color according to the dream chart (I will post right after this)

Create a magic ring, with 6 sc in it. Pull closed. Start round 1 in the beginning st of the ring.

Round 1: 2 sc in each st around.
Round 2: [2 sc, 1 sc in the next st] around
Round 3-5: Sc around.
Round 6: [sc2tog, 1 sc in the next st] around. Lightly stuff now and add eyes. I prefer to put the eyes 4 stitches apart, and I also did a bobble stitch for the eyes and sharpied over them. Do whatever you like for the eyes.
Round 7: sc2tog around.
Round 8 (this is the 'dress' section): 2 sc in each st around.
Round 9: Ch 3. Dc in the next st. [Ch2, skip one st, 2 dc] repeat this around.
Round 10: Repeat round 9. Fasten off, weave in ends.

I took a string and weaved in around every post in round 7. Pull tight on the two ends that'll be one stitch away from each other wherever you started (I prefer to start in the front). Knot the ends twice, then make a bow. String a leftover string through the top of the head and knot.

There you go! That's the sweet dreams Cloudette. I think this color would be the baby boy sweet dreams. Anyways, the chart will come.

Sweet dreams!,
Lucy and Foxy.

Crocheter's Hand Rub

I know that this doesn't have to do with crocheting itself, but it is an easy hand rub to help soothe aching crocheter hands. I call it

Cinnamary Orange Delight!

It is a cinnamon, rosemary, and dried orange crumb infused water and oil. It soothes and softens your skin. I guess you could you could use it when you have a headache and rub it on your temples.

What you'll need:

- 2 cups of warm water
- 1 1/2 tbs of low scented oil (I used olive oil)
- 3 tsp of cinnamon powder
- One cinnamon stick
- 2 tsp Dried orange crumbs
- 3 pinches of Rosemary leaves
- Small pot
- Sifter
- Wooden pot stirrer
- Boye jar

1- Heat up 2 cups of warm water so it is hot to touch, but not boiling.
2- Add cinnamon powder, stir with wooden pot stirrer until the cinnamon powder is mostly disintegrated.
3- Add orange crumbs and rosemary leaves.
4- Turn off heat. Move to cool part of stove. Stir for 5 minutes.
5- Add oil. Stir until oil is distributed in water evenly.
6- Sift the liquid into the boye jar. There should not be any more spices in the jar.
7- Add cinnamon stick into liquid.
8- Close jar. Cool in fridge overnight.
9- Add a tag on it and name it.

Rub this into your hands to soothe those aching crochet hands! Have fun, and happy cooking!

Elsa Pictures

Here are the pictures of how my Elsa looks:

I know the background is really cheesy. I had it on my computer, so I put a paper towel on the keyboard so you wouldn't see the keyboard. I guess it doesn't match..... lol.

Skirt

In available loops from round 11 of body, attach sparkly white onto one of the loops using a somewhat loose slip stitch. There should be 24 available loops.

Round 1- [2 sc in next st, 1 sc] around. (36)

Round 2- [2 sc in next st, 2 sc] around. (54, I think)

Round 3- 6 -- sc around. (54 still, I think)

Round 7- Here’s where it gets somewhat confusing. [bobble stitch, sl st] rep around.  Sl st to beginning st and fasten off. Sew in loose ends.

Hair- Cut 50 pieces of 6 ½” blonde colored yarn. Referring to the head, notice that there are available loops. With crochet hook, go under one loop. Fold 2 pieces of the yarn strands in half. Pull the folded over yarn through the loops on the head with the crochet hook. Now, take ends and pull them tightly through the loop of the folded over yarn. This takes a little bit of practice, but you’ll soon get the hang of it. Do this in each loop around until you run out of blonde yarn strands.

Cape (optional) : With light blue, join onto the available loops from round 12 on the back of the body. There should be 6 available loops.

Row 1- Sc around. Turn. (6)

Row 2- Ch 1. Sc 2 in next st. Sc in next 4 st. Sc 2 in next st. Turn. (8)

Row 3. Ch 1. Sc across. Turn. (8)

Row 4. Ch 1. Sc 2 in next st. Sc in next 6 st. Sc 2 in next st. Turn. (10)

Row 5. Ch 1. Sc across. Turn. (10)

Row 6. Ch 1. Sc 2 in next st. Sc in next 8 st. Sc 2 in next st. Turn. (12)

Row 7. Ch 1. Sc across. Turn. (12)

Row 8. Ch 1. Sc 2 in next st. Sc in next 10 st. Sc 2 in next st. Turn. (14)

Row 9- 10 -- Ch 1. Sc across.

Row 11. Ch 1. [Bobble stitch, sl st] across. Fasten off.

Join either light blue or sparkly white in corner nearest body. Crochet around edge, ending on other corner of cape nearest the body. Fasten off, sew in loose ends.

Sew arms and legs to body. Then, sew body to head. There you go! You have Elsa! You can keep her, or you can Let It Go! to a friend or family!
